I am actually very excited to write this blog on Menopausal Remedies, possibly more than most… Because I have some great feedback and good news for once! This Menopause is certainly one hell of a journey for some women and reading the amount of information I do, it’s hard to read at times! Some women to me, are suffering totally unnecessarily and the most basic of treatments can be a complete game changer!

Menopausal Remedies that I have Tried and Tested!
Take me for instance, since having the twins 22 years ago, I have suffered horrendously with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Either suffering with terrible constipation or diarrhoea and there is often no rhyme or reason for it. Changing my diet, avoiding certain foods, drinking more water, avoiding stressful situations as much as I could. You name it I have tried it, herbal remedies, over the counter IBS relief from the pharmacy, in the end my GP referred me to the hospital.

I saw a fantastic consultant who was very on the ball and sent me for an urgent Flexi Sigmoidoscopy (checking the lower part of the large intestine) which showed nothing. In the end I had to put up with it really, but at least I knew it was nothing sinister.
Reading and researching lots on the Menopause for The Executive Menopause Coach has taught me more than I could ever imagine and I often talk to my clients (I am a Beauty Therapist) about my findings and other women’s ailments in the hope that someone suggests something that might work. When I was talking about my endless bowel problems, one of my clients said “you need to investigate Probiotics”.
I never realised how many women suffer with IBS during and after the Menopause! So, I did! I read all I could about them and she told me there was a very reputable company not too far from where I lived. I contacted them and straight away they sent me Probiotics to try. I spoke to one of their very knowledgeable Nutritional Therapists and she sent me the higher strength Probiotics for a month to try.
By day 3 I had noticed a huge difference, my bowel movements were back to normal and as much as I still, at this point, doubted the Probiotics (I have taken so much over the years, you lose the will to believe anything after a while!) the difference was amazing! I am now 2 months on, and all is still totally normal and how it should be, no stomach ache, bowel movement issues and my bloating has gone down considerably. I cannot recommend these Probiotics enough!
I hope my GP, who is signed up to The Executive Menopause Coach, reads this and starts to recommend these to more people suffering with bowel issues. There are Probiotics for adults and the elderly. If you would like to have a look at the ones I was taking then click here!
Lots of Woman going through the Menopause also suffer with BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) and often the only cure is to take antibiotics, but lots of women tell me it seems to come back again and again. Probiotics for Women, for most, seems like a life changer and helps with period stomach problems, BV, Thrush, Dryness, Irritation, Cystitis and the list goes on. My female friends all rave about taking these, for what seems to be every vaginal problem under the sun! It has to be better for you than taking antibiotics though! Probiotics are the good bacteria that live in our bodies, sometimes our bacterial reserves get emptied and we end up with too many of the harmful bacteria, which in turn throws the balance of our microbiome off. When the bad bacteria take over the good bacteria, our Gut health and Immune system suffer. Often conditions like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Urinary Tract Infections, Colitis and High Cholesterol can start to develop when too many bad bacteria are present.
I spoke to several people who took Probiotics for different reasons, but said they absolutely would not be without them!
They took them for a range of symptoms including;
“The whole family take them for their immunity, less coughs, and colds and Sinusitis definitely!”
“Our terrible tummy issues with the children has totally gone with these!”
“My bloating and farting (flatulence) and digestive system has improved beyond words!”
“I take the ‘extra strength’ Probiotics for stomach issues and since taking my hay fever has disappeared too!”
“Took Probiotics after Gall Bladder surgery and it helped so much with my digestion.”
“Post Menopause, BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) has been rife, and the constant antibiotics prescribed for BV have given me endless stomach issues. Probiotics for Women have been a life saver and I do not take them all the time.”
“I took Probiotics for Pregnancy, all through my pregnancy I felt so much better than the previous 2 pregnancies I have had. My energy levels were greatly increased and I also gave my baby Probiotic drops which improved her bowel movements and skin.”
To conclude…
Personally, I would definitely try these OptiBac Probiotics, they are great quality and a UK based company, they have also won many awards for their products. I have wasted lots of money over the years on lots of remedies and supplements, but if only I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have suffered all the years I have! Definitely worth a try for you and your family as they can help with so many different symptoms!
